E-Books and English Learners

I created this site as my capstone project for a Master of Arts in English as a Second Language from Hamline University. I aimed to create something that educators who work with ELLs can reference if they use or are thinking of using E-Books with their students. I believe in the potential of E-Books to make reading more engaging and comprehensible for ELLs, but in my review of research I learned a lot about how E-Books are best used and what their limitations are. I have posted reviews of websites where students can access E-Books, guidelines and recommended procedures for implementing E-reading in classrooms, activities for teachers to use in their classrooms, and other resources for teachers to develop their own plan of action for using E-reading with ELL students.
